What to Expect — New Patients
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our front receptionist, who will make sure we have all the necessary details about you, such as your insurance information.
Next, our hygienist will guide you into the treatment area and will complete a comprehensive medical and dental history with you. This will be followed by any prescribed dental X-rays that Dr. Clark or Dr. Zabek-Clark deem necessary. The hygienist will also perform a comprehensive assessment of your soft tissues and bone levels and will screen your mouth for any possible pathology.
Then, Dr. Kevin Clark or Dr. Rebecca Zabek-Clark will complete a full head and neck exam and will discuss any findings or concerns.
Typically, the hygienist will start the dental cleaning that day. If it’s been several years since your last checkup, we may ask you to come back so that we can finish the cleaning during a second visit.
When You Need Treatment
After your examination, we’ll walk you through our recommended treatment plan and discuss the costs and the number of appointments required. You’ll have a good idea of what will happen well before you schedule any procedures. Your care plan will be tailored to your unique oral health status and long-term goals.
Even if you don’t have insurance coverage, we offer conservative treatment plans to meet your needs.
